President

Mario Mabini, President, brings over 23 years of distinguished expertise in advanced soft tissue rehabilitation. With a passion for this field, Mario underwent rigorous training in medical massage, sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue techniques, acupressure, myofascial release, and cupping. Mario's commitment to excellence in soft tissue care is evident in his continuous pursuit of the most effective techniques for his team and clients. In 2012, Mario founded his practice, leveraging his extensive experience in project management and business operations. His leadership is characterized by a steadfast dedication to achieving optimal client outcomes and fostering a supportive environment for his team. Mario Mabini's profound expertise solidifies his position as a leading figure in advanced soft tissue rehabilitation.

Vice President

Matthew Tiess, Vice President, is a trailblazer in the world of fitness and functional movement. With elite certifications from NESTA, NASM, NCCPT, and ISSA, Matthew brings a powerful, multifaceted approach to healing the body, not just treating symptoms, but restoring function wholly and holistically. As a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Strength & Conditioning Coach, Matthew goes beyond workouts — he crafts personalized performance strategies rooted in Functional Movement Systems (FMS). Whether you’re battling chronic pain, recovering from injury, or aiming to move better, he identifies imbalances and movement limitations others miss, and helps you correct them for good. Driven by passion and results, Matthew empowers clients to move stronger, live pain-free, and feel unstoppable.

Chief Financial Officer

Tony brings over 26 years of expertise in finance, accounting, and business controlling to IMTI. With a proven track record as Business Controller at BASF - where he managed financial operations for the North America Enzymes unit - Tony excels at aligning financial strategy with organizational growth objectives. His strategic insight and technical acumen are instrumental in driving success and fueling IMTI’s market expansion in the dynamic health and wellness sector.

Lynn Davis

Operations Manager

Lynn, our Advanced Lead Therapist and Operations Manager, brings a comprehensive approach to her role at the Integrated Movement Therapy Institute (IMTI). With a focus on correcting dysfunctional patterns resulting from injuries and repetitive behaviors, Lynn is dedicated to addressing the root causes of pain and discomfort. She not only provides exceptional therapy but also prioritizes educating her clients on self-care practices, empowering them to maintain a pain-free lifestyle. Markis Sumpter

Head Youth Athletic Trainer

Markis Sumpter is redefining elite athletic training, bringing a powerhouse blend of expertise, experience, and relentless passion to the field. As a former professional football player and four-year standout wide receiver at Western New Mexico University, Markis exemplifies what it takes to compete—and win—at the highest levels. His extraordinary athletic journey, combined with extensive knowledge of kinesiology, equips him to train athletes of all ages and skill levels with exceptional effectiveness. From breaking records in football and track at Fallbrook High School—where he excelled in both sports, set a record in the 200-meter sprint, and earned state championship honors—to mentoring athletes across a wide range of disciplines, Markis has consistently demonstrated his ability to elevate performance. Whether guiding young athletes toward their first victory, helping high school standouts secure college recruitment, or driving professionals to reach peak performance, Markis is the ideal trainer.

Chris Perez

Muscle Rehab Therapist

Chris, a San Diego native, brings over 15 years of expertise in Massage Therapy, specializing in pain management through a blend of techniques like trigger point therapy, deep tissue, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, myofascial release, cupping, and Gua Sha. His approach focuses on tailoring each session to the individual's needs, fostering progress toward optimal health and recovery. Chris is passionate about educating his clients, empowering them to better understand their bodies and make informed choices for future care. He also serves as the massage therapist for La Jolla Playhouse, helping actors and performers with injury prevention and recovery. In his free time, Chris enjoys a variety of sports, including soccer, softball, and his latest passion, pickleball. He's also an avid movie enthusiast, loves playing video and board games, and is currently learning to play the piano.

Mimi Hughes, a highly experienced Massage Therapist and Functional Trainer, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Integrated Movement Therapy Institute (IMTI). With a strong athletic background, Mimi deeply understands the challenges that individuals face when dealing with injuries and the crucial role that effective rehabilitation plays in their recovery. Mimi specializes in rehabilitative massage treatments and employs her extensive knowledge in various modalities, including Deep Tissue, Thai massage, Sports Massage, Cupping Therapy, and Neurokinetic Therapy. What sets Mimi apart is her unwavering commitment to continuous learning, as evidenced by her certifications as a personal trainer and corrective exercise therapist from NASM. This dedication allows her to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field and provide her clients with the most effective and personalized treatment plans.

Anthony Kongvongsai

Muscle Rehab Therapist

With more than 15 years dedicated to the art of massage therapy, he's refined his techniques to offer a personalized fusion of Eastern and Western modalities, meticulously crafted to suit every client's requirement. Having undergone extensive training in Chiang Mai, Thailand, Tony specializes in rehabilitative massage treatments, including Thai massage, cupping, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release techniques. Born and raised in San Diego, Tony's unwavering commitment lies in assisting his clients to achieve a pain-free, high-quality lifestyle, serving as his daily inspiration and motivation.

Functional Trainer

Alexander Mabini, a CSUSM graduate with a Bachelor's in Kinesiology Movement Science, is a multifaceted individual with a passion for archery, training, and global exploration. Fueled by a curiosity for the world and a dedication to physical excellence, he seamlessly merges his academic background with his diverse interests. From perfecting his aim with a bow to honing his body through rigorous training, Alexander embodies discipline and drive. His adventures extend beyond borders, as he immerses himself in various cultures, seeking new experiences and connections.

Camille Johnson

Functional Trainer

Born and raised in the Bay Area, Camille Johnson is a former collegiate women’s basketball player who competed throughout her undergraduate and graduate studies. She holds an M.S. in Kinesiology from CSU San Marcos and a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Sonoma State University. Camille has a strong background in strength training and conditioning, and enjoys working with athletes of all ages and levels. Her interests outside of work include reading, exercise, plants, the outdoors, and making new connections.

Reyna Hernandez

Wellness Support Coordinator

Reyna serves as the Wellness Support Coordinator at IMTI, applying her Kinesiology degree from California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) and six years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her extensive knowledge of patient care and commitment to wellness align perfectly with IMTI’s holistic approach to musculoskeletal health. In her role, Reyna provides vital support to therapists and trainers across administrative and clinical functions, fostering active, healthy lifestyles through compassionate and personalized care.
